Over the the past decade Nigel Somerville and I have warned folks about this dog with fleas, almost as many times as I have had inappropriate thoughts about Cheryl Cole. With the shares in the minus 99% club, I guess we are already vindicated but today comes yet more bad news for Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO). As Old Mother Mike Walters, who is the sort of man who would have tipped this cash guzzling POS which has deceived its investors on a serial basis, would have said as he apologised for another duff share tip: “Oh dear, Oh dear” We start with the dreaded words “strategic review.”

Based in the truly delightful North Yorkshire town of Masham, which I visited a couple of months ago, the Black Sheep Brewery PLC, is an unlisted PLC and today it has served up the phrase all shareholders dread to hear: “strategic review”. Whatever you say CEO and Chair Charlene Lyons.
Founded by the Theakston family who still dominate the board, this brewer of real ales says that “The Board is currently considering all options, one such option being a merger or an acquisition of the Company, in whole or in part, if such a solution offers the best outcome for shareholders and other stakeholders whilst providing a stable base for the future of the business.”

Mirriad Advertising (MIRI) today uttered the two words that should strike fear into the hearts of all investors: “strategic review.” That is stockmarket speak for “the game is up we are fucked.” Sure it tried to sugar the pill by initiating a formal sales process (FSP) and putting itself up for sale. On the evening of 7th November I revealed how perma-dog ( with fleas) Applied Graphene Materials (AGM) was trying to raise money at just 2p even though the shares were 12.5p at the close the working day before. The next morning it fessed, citing my article, and admitted that the issue had been pulled and that it only had cash to last until January 31. The late Mama Cass put a date in her diary for a new gig. Today comes the words every investor dreads “strategic review.”

Now that it is cash generative, pro tem, ADVFN (AFN) reckons that its shares are undervalued. Of course Clem Chambers, the globe trotting boss of the websites group, has been saying this for years as the stock price tanked and I reckon that Cheryl Cole is missing out on a damn good time here in North Wales. There were two enormous red flags waving at NetScientific (NSCI), the healthcare IP commercialisation group. The first was the announcement a few weeks ago of a “strategic review” which in plain English means “we are fucked” and the second was that Britain’s worst performing fund manager Neil “Nomates” Woodford owns 47% of the company with the funds he used to manage round at Invesco owning another 19%. And so to today’s disastrous news.

Shareholders should, whatever the weasel words of the RNS, prepare for wipeout. This is - as we pointed out in a 25 minute presentation at UK Investor Show, a zero. I start with today's placing news from Deltex Medical (DEMG). I do not reckon that this will be its last placing and its language stinks at every level. The money will be used for "working capital". Bollocks. It means to "fund our ongoing fucking losses". And there is more. Yes this is a bad language special. And if you are a Guardian reading loser who thinks the NHS is cash starved you will also be offended. I am not in a good mood. Is this more to do with the reaction to Brokerman Dan's piece here yesterday or an impending trip to the Grim Northern welfare safaris to see the mother in law.
